About Us
Aleesa de Castro
Aleesa is a student-athlete at the University of Georgia majoring in Entertainment and Media Studies and Film with a minor in Business. Aleesa co-founded de Castro Productions with her twin sister in 2020. She has always had a passion for media, especailly film, and now strives to pursue a career doing what she loves most. With continued hard work, she hopes to share this passion with the world, and to help share the stories of others.

Cate de Castro
Cate is a fourth year at the University of Georgia majoring in Entertainment & Media Studies and Finance. Cate is a leader and go-getter, who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. She possess a strong passion for producing and filmmaking developed through her love for storytelling and the community it fosters.
Cate supports her filmmaking community by co-founding and leading the Backlight Student Film Festival, serving as President for the Entertainment and Media Industries Club and the Atlas Business Society, representing the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication as an Ambassasor,volunteering as a Production Assistant at Grady Newsource, and a former VP of Digital Content for Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity.
Cate co-founded de Castro Productions with Aleesa as an outlet to express their love of filmmaking and to inspire the world with diverse and enticing stories. Cate hopes to pursue a career in film production upon graduating from the University of Georgia.
